Job Description
We are looking for a proactive and ownership-driven Manager – IT Procurement to build and scale our procurement function from the ground up. This is a high-impact role where you will work directly with the founders and leadership team to establish procurement processes, optimize vendor partnerships, and drive cost efficiencies across the organization.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience managing end-to-end IT procurement, strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to independently drive procurement initiatives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Own the complete IT procurement lifecycle — from requirement gathering and vendor identification to negotiation, contracting, purchasing, and delivery.
Build the IT procurement function from 0 to 1 by defining procurement processes, policies, governance, and best practices.
Partner directly with founders and business leaders to understand technology and business requirements, ensuring timely procurement decisions.
Collaborate closely with Engineering, IT, Security, Finance, Admin, and other cross-functional stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business priorities.
Identify, evaluate, onboard, and manage vendors for software, SaaS subscriptions, cloud services, hardware, networking equipment, laptops, and other IT infrastructure.
Lead commercial negotiations to secure the best pricing, payment terms, SLAs, warranties, and long-term strategic agreements.
Build strong vendor relationships while monitoring performance, service quality, and contractual commitments.
Drive procurement planning, budgeting, and forecasting to optimize costs without compromising quality or delivery timelines.
Manage contract lifecycle, including renewals, compliance, licensing, audits, and risk mitigation.
Establish procurement dashboards, MIS reports, and metrics to provide visibility into spend, vendor performance, and cost-saving opportunities.
Continuously identify opportunities to improve procurement efficiency, automate workflows, and enhance overall operational effectiveness.
Ensure adherence to internal procurement policies, compliance standards, and audit requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
4–6 years of experience in IT Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or Vendor Management.
Demonstrated experience in independently managing end-to-end procurement operations with strong ownership.
Experience procuring IT infrastructure, cloud services, software licenses, SaaS products, networking equipment, and enterprise technology solutions.
Strong negotiation, commercial acumen, and contract management skills.
Excellent stakeholder management with the ability to influence senior leadership and collaborate across multiple business functions.
Experience interacting with founders, CXOs, or senior leadership teams is highly preferred.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to drive data-backed procurement decisions and cost optimization initiatives.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP/Procurement tools, and procurement reporting.
Excellent communication, vendor relationship management, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and build scalable procurement processes from scratch.
